Rowanberry spirit
Rowanberries – also known as mountain ash berries – are small, bright red wild fruits with a centuries-old tradition in the Alpine region. Despite their bitter and astringent taste, they hold a remarkable aromatic complexity that truly unfolds during distillation.
For this fine brandy, the berries are fermented and then gently double-distilled. Due to their naturally low sugar content, fermentation yields only minimal alcohol – resulting in an extremely low output. From 100 kg of berries, only about 1 liter of pure alcohol can be obtained. This makes rowanberry brandy one of the rarest and most concentrated spirits available.
